After the assessment is complete, you’ll receive a report that:

• Explains the results

• A list of personalized recommendations, and may include suggested accommodations for aspects of your life (e.g., school, home, work, and relationship)

1. Getting Started

After you reach out, we’ll schedule your appointment and ask a few questions to understand your needs. You’ll also receive some forms to fill out ahead of time, such as background information and consent documents.

2. The Intake Interview

On the day of your evaluation, you’ll start with an interview. This is a conversation to talk about your concerns, personal history, and goals. For children, a parent or caregiver will usually participate too. This helps us understand the full picture and tailor the evaluation to you.

3. Testing Activities

Next comes the testing portion. This may include paper-and-pencil tasks, puzzles, memory games, questionnaires, or computer-based activities. These are carefully chosen to assess areas such as:

• Attention and focus

• Memory and learning

• Problem-solving and reasoning

• Emotional well-being and behavior

We take breaks as needed, and the environment is calm and supportive throughout.

4. Scoring & Interpretation

After testing, we spend time reviewing your results in detail. We compare your performance to standardized norms and interpret the data to find patterns and insights.

5. Feedback & Results

Once the evaluation is complete, we’ll schedule a feedback session with you. During this meeting, we will:

• Go over your results in a clear and compassionate way

• Share any diagnoses (if applicable)

• Provide personalized recommendations for treatment, support, or next steps

• Answer your questions

You’ll also receive a written report summarizing the findings and recommendations.

Psychological Testing uses standardized tools to measure specific areas like memory, attention, learning, IQ, or personality. It’s a bit like lab work at a doctor’s office - it gives you clear, objective results.

Psychological Evaluation is a more complete picture. It includes testing, but also adds interviews, history, and clinical insights to understand someone’s mental health or learning needs—similar to how a doctor uses lab results along with other information to assess overall health.
