Autism Testing
An autism evaluation is designed to better understand how an individual communicates, interacts with others, and experiences the world around them. The evaluation assesses characteristics associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and provides meaningful insight to help guide supports and recommendations across home, school, work, and community settings.
Reasons for Testing

Difficulties with social interaction, communication, or adjusting to changes

There are signs of repetitive behaviors or unusual interests

Concerns about delays in language, play, or emotional connection

To access appropriate support services, school accommodations, or therapies

To better understand and support unique ways of thinking and experiencing the world
What Is Involved?
Can include any/all of the following:

A detailed review of developmental, medical, and educational history
-
An in-depth interview about early development and current concerns
-
Observation of social interaction, communication, and behavior
-
Standardized testing and structured activities to assess social skills, language, play, flexibility, and sensory responses

Questionnaires completed by parents, teachers, and/or caregivers
Feedback session:

This is when we will meet and we will go over the report, the recommendations, and address any questions.
